Covenant Of The Church

The covenant expresses the solemn commitment made in the presence of God and this Assembly by those who have repented, professed faith in Jesus Christ, and been baptized in water by immersion.

As we have been led by the Spirit of God to repent of our sins, and on the profession of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, having been baptized in water by immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, we do now in the presence of God and this Assembly most solemnly enter into this covenant.

Therefore, do we engage to strive for the advancement of the Church of God in knowledge and love, holiness and comfort, until we all come into the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, and unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

The Trinity

The trinity is made up of three separate, coequal, eternal beings: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. [1 John 5:7 | 2 Corinthians 13:14 | Philippians 2:6 | Matthew 28:19]

The HOLY BIBLE

The Holy Bible is the written record of God's revelation to man. It is complete and infallible. It is sufficient for life, faith, and practice. It is superior to conscience and reason, but it is not contrary to reason. [2 Peter 1:20 & 21 | 2 Timothy 3:16 | 1 Thessalonians 2:13]

The Deity of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ was with God the Father, was born to a virgin, lived a sinless life, died an atoning death, rose the third day, ascended back to heaven, and will physically return to this earth. [John 1:1, 2 & 14 | Isaiah 7:14 | Matthew 1:23 | 1 Peter 2:22 | 1 Timothy 2:5 & 6 | Acts 1:11]

Fallen Man’s Only Hope of Redemption

Salvation is provided though the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. His shed blood alone can cleanse sin. [Acts 17:28 | Acts 4:12 | Hebrews 9:22]

The First and Second Resurrection

Jesus Christ rose the third day - at His appearing all that are in the grave shall hear His voice. [1 Corinthians 15: 3 & 4 | John 5:25-29 | Acts 4:33]

The Physical Return of Christ

Jesus Christ will return to the earth the same way He left it. [1 Thessalonians 3:13, 4:15]

Baptism by Immersion

We baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, being buried with Him, to rise in newness of life. [Romans 6:4 | Colossians 2:12 | Matthew 28:19]

The Sacrament of Marriage

Established by God and honored by Christ, the institution of marriage consists of the union of one man and one woman. [Mark 10:7-10 | Genesis 1:27 & 28 | Ephesians 5:31]

The Baptism of the Holy Ghost

At salvation, God gives every believer the gift of the Holy Ghost. The baptism of the Holy Ghost brings about a new dimension to the believer. The gifts of the Holy Ghost are essential to the church and to the believer. [Romans 8:14 | Luke 3:16 | 1 Corinthians 12:4-7]

Sanctification

As a progressive and continuing work of grace, every believer is compelled to grow in their relationship with God. [2 Timothy 2:21 | Romans 15:16 | John 17:19]

Divine Healing

As with all New Testament doctrines, God’s Word is clear on this point. He alone has the power to heal. Physical healing may be immediate or incremental. Emotional, relational, or familial healing is provided for as well. [James 5:14 & 15 | Luke 9:2 | 1 Corinthians 12:9]

The Church

The Church is the body of Christ. Each and every believer, born of water and Spirit, is an integral part of the church of God. [Romans 12:5 | 1 Corinthians 12:12 | John 10:16 | John 3:5]
